The Anointed One as Redeemer of Creation
Jesus Christ - Anointed Saviour
The name Jesus is the Greek version of the Hebrew Jehoshua, which can be translated as "God saves". Christ, as mentioned, means "the anointed one".
The Jewish scholar Jehoshua-Jesus was ascribed titles and functions in Christianity that correspond to the Messiah, the expected redeemer of the Jewish people.
Creation in the Underworld
Suffering, illness and death
The great feminine, life itself, lies outside human consciousness and is bound up in natural laws. The life that is "submerged" in matter and in the unconscious is already represented in the first traditions by the underworld.

As the realm of shadows and death, it is an image of the fact that all of creation is at the mercy of suffering, negativity, transience and death and must be saved or "redeemed" from them.
The redemption of the enslaved creation
Power of attorney over matter
In the collective context, that human member who bears the title "the Anointed One" has the calling, power and authority to solve this collective problem of creation.
He is the beloved and chosen one of the great Mother Godhead (of life in matter) who accepts his loving devotion and operates it through unlimited authority. Thus, at his word, she causes signs and wonders such as healings and raising of the dead to take place.
Devotion until death
For out of love he gives himself completely, identifying himself with the life and suffering of the enslaved creation even unto death. His path leads him all the way in - deep into the darkest and deepest existence of the unconscious, which he occupies and wins.
In dying he unites himself with the great feminine, life itself, and sows the seed of the Word of the Father's love into living matter.
